Ali al-Hudhaifi
Sheikh ʿAlī ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Ḥuḍayfī is a reciter from Saudi Arabia. He was born in 1366 AH (1947 CE) in the Makkah region. Al-Ḥuḍayfī is regarded as one of the well-known reciters in the Islamic world and received ijāzahs in the various canonical readings from several eminent scholars. After earning his Master’s degree from Al-Azhar University in 1395 AH, he went on to complete his Doctorate there and then pursued a teaching career at the Islamic University. In addition, he has served as an imam and khatīb at both the Prophet’s Mosque in Madīnah and the Grand Mosque in Mecca.
