Khalifa Al-Tunaiji

Sheikh Khalīfah bin Muṣbāḥ al-Ṭunayjī was born in 1969 in the Emirate of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. He memorized the entire Qurʾān at a Qur’ān memorization center by the age of 13, then moved to the Prophet’s City (Madīnah) to perfect his recitation under Sheikh Ibrāhīm al-Akhdar. He has received ijāzahs in the Ḥafṣ ‘an ‘Āṣim, Warsh, and Qālūn transmissions. He has served as an imam at major mosques such as the al-Rāshidīyah Grand Mosque in Dubai, the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Ajman, and the ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb Mosque in Sharjah. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the United Arab Emirates University and currently serves as the Director of the Housing Department in Sharjah.
