Mishary bin Rashid Al-Afasy

Mishārī al-ʿAfāsī is a reciter from Kuwait, born in 1396 AH (1976 CE). He specialized in the ten canonical readings and Quranic exegesis at the College of the Holy Qurʾān at the Islamic University of Madīnah, and he earned an ijāzah in the Ḥafṣ ‘an ‘Āṣim narration via the Shāṭibiyyah method. He currently serves as the imam of the Grand Mosque in Kuwait and directs the Al-ʿAfāsī Qurʾān Channel
