Saud al-Shuraim

Sheikh Saud bin Ibrahim bin Muhammad al-Shuraim was born on January 19, 1966 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He holds a Ph.D. in Sharia from Umm al-Qura University in Mecca, memorized the Quran, and studied Tajwid under major scholars. Appointed imam and khateeb of Masjid al-Haram in 1991 and judge at the Makkah High Court in 1992, he has authored works on Aqeedah and Fiqh and is celebrated as one of the preeminent reciters of the Grand Mosque.
